Yes, you can continue using your existing method to pay super after enabling the Payday Super workflow.
Enabling the Payday Super workflow does not restrict any of the workflows that you have previously used to pay super using your existing method, nor does it prevent or require you to complete a pay run before creating a new one.
If you enable the Payday Super workflow but later decide not to use it, simply skip the Payday Super Processing program step during the Pay Run Checklist.
Example
For example, you could run two separate pay runs: one using the TASS Payday Super workflow and another using your existing super payment method.
Both pay runs appear in the Payday Super Processing program after the Pay Run Reset. Process one using the TASS Payday Super workflow. For the pay run you want to complete with your existing super payment method, ignore the Super Event and process it using that method. No action is required for the second Super Event in the Payday Super Processing program.
If you use multiple payment methods and the Superannuation Alternative File Format (SAFF), ensure the Payment Methods in your SAFF Parameters match each transaction's payment method in TASS.web Payroll HRM > Payroll > Listings & Reports > Superannuation Remittance File/Report.
To generate the SAFF for payruns with your current super payment method, open the SAFF file in Excel and review or adjust the data before sending it to your clearing house.
Ensure Excel does not alter or convert data in the table. When opening, select ‘No’ if prompted to convert data to avoid changes. Review the ‘USI’ column and other figures to ensure they have not converted to scientific notation.
In the v01.2026.06.200 General Release, after enabling Payday Super, the payment method field locks to ‘DirectCredit’. Review the ‘Payment Method’ column and adjust it manually if it differs.
The ability to alter your payment method from the TASS.web interface, and retaining formatting will be fixed in an upcoming release. Please contact TASS Customer Care if you have any further questions.
