How do I change a non-teaching employee to a teacher?
Follow this guide when a non-teaching employee is now employed at the school as a Teacher.
Go to TASS.web System Admin > Users > Portal Security Permissions for Staff Kiosk. Unassign all permissions from the Employee's profile and remove them from any roles they are assigned to.
Update the Employee Record to reflect the employee's new position in TASS.web Payroll HRM > Payroll > Employee Information > Employees.
On the ‘General’ tab, you might need to update Position Title, Main Activity, and Supervisors.
On the ‘General’ tab, remove the password from the 'Kiosk Password' field.
On the ‘Qualifications’ tab, you might need to add new qualifications.
You will also need to ensure that the Payroll-related tabs are updated with the correct Teacher pay details from the date that the new employment situation commenced.
Note the user’s Employee Code.
Create a new Teacher Record in TASS.web Student Admin > Teacher Records > Teacher Information > Teachers and link it to their Employee Record by entering their Employee Code.
Ensure the user has the correct access levels assigned in Staff Kiosk. Follow ‘How do I give an employee access to Staff Kiosk?’ for more information.
Update the Timetable to include the new Teacher Code and populate their timetable.
