Setting up Student Records Video

This video explains how to set up the Student Records module in TASS.web, covering the key configuration steps required before student data can be effectively managed. It walks through the Student Records Setup program, including defining student code structures, default values, lookup behaviour and communication rules, as well as configuring year groups, timetable structure, and module contact details. The session then demonstrates how to set up supporting reference data such as houses, note categories, religions and campuses, before moving into user-defined and extended user-defined fields, including how alerts can be triggered from these fields when accessing a student record. The video concludes by noting that subject setup is covered separately and directs viewers to online help for further guidance.

This video refers to the ‘TK View' and ‘TK Corr' Communication Rule, which have since been renamed 'Staff View’ and 'Staff Corr’.
