MER - Medical Tab (SU)

*Emergency Address

Nominate which parent address should be referenced for the emergency contact details displayed for each student. 

These addresses are defined in Student Admin > Parent Records > Parent Information > Parents on the 'Address' Tab.

If the 'Emergency Address' nominated here has not been recorded on a parent's record, then the 'Emergency Address' will default back to the parent's default address.

Default Asthma Code

As the codes for 'Conditions' medical records are set up by the school there is a need to indicate which condition code is to be used for Asthma. The Asthma condition is unique, in that students who are flagged with this condition, will have the 'Asthma Management' tab active in their 'Student Medical Record'.

Enable Alerts on Immunisation Register data

Tick this option to enable an alert to display in the following programs where students have missing or out of date data:

• TASS.web Student Admin > Medical Records > Student Information > Student Medical.

• TASS.web Student Admin > Medical Records > Listings/Reports/Merges > Immunisations Summary/Listings

• Parent Lounge Student Details > Medical Details on the 'Immunisation Register' tab.

Use Medical Conditions (Y/N)

Select 'Use Medical Conditions' if you want the 'Medical Conditions' tab to be available in 'Students Medical Record'. If the box is left un-ticked the tab will be inactive.

Use Immunisations (Y/N)

Select the 'Use Immunisations' field if you want the 'Immunisations' tab to be available in 'Students Medical Record'. If the box is left un-ticked the tab will be inactive.

Use Doctor Details (Y/N)

Select the 'Use Doctor Details' field if you want the 'Practitioners' to be available in 'Students Medical Record'. If the box is left un-ticked the tab will be inactive.

Fields that require further explanation

Name

Use this field to store the name of the person who is the main contact for this module at your school.

Email

This field will print on the student medical form generated through TASS.web program Student Admin > Medical Records > Listings/Reports/Merges > Student Medical Forms.

If this field is left blank then the medical form will use the email address field in TASS.web program Finance > General Ledger > Setup Information > Company Information.

Therefore you would only use this field where you want a different email address to print on the medical form to the main school email address.

Phone

This field will print on the student medical form generated through TASS.web program Student Admin >  Medical Records > Listings/Reports/Merges > Student Medical Forms.

If this field is left blank then the medical form will use the phone number field in TASS.web program Finance >  General Ledger > Setup Information > Company Information.

Therefore you would only use this field where you want a different phone number to print on the medical form to the main school phone number.

Fax

This field will print on the student medical form generated through program Student Admin >  Medical Records > Listings/Reports/Merges > Student Medical Forms.

If this field is left blank then the medical form will use the fax number field in TASS.web program Finance > General Ledger > Setup Information > Company Information.

Therefore you would only use this field where you want a different fax number to print on the medical form to the main school email address.

Website/URL

Use this field to store the web address of any website relating to medical records information at your school.

*Medication Expiry Notification (Days before)

This field allow you to define the number of days before the expiry date that parents will be automatically notified.

An upcoming software release will allow you to send Notifications to parents from this module.

Medication Expiry Dates can be entered in TASS.web Student Admin > Medical Records > Student Medical on the ‘Medications' tab and the ‘Medical Conditions’ tab.

*Dispense Time Tolerance

This field is available to define the number of minutes before the scheduled time that medication can be dispensed to students.

Medication Schedules are setup in TASS.web Student Admin > Medical Records > Student Information > Student Medical on the ‘Medications' tab and the ‘Medical Conditions’ tab.

Scheduled Medication can be dispensed from TASS.web Student Admin > Medical Records > Dispense Student Medication.

SMS Details

Max. 160 characters

This 'Message Text' field is used to send SMS and Alert Notifications to parents when a new student illness is created in Illness Self Registration or saved in Student Illness/Daily Log.

Student Illness Keywords are available in the drop-down menu allowing you to customise your message.  The keywords available for this text feild are:

• Student Name

• Student Code

• Medical Condition

• Illness Details

• Time of Illness

• Date of Illness

• Medication

• Treatment
