'Reporting Periods' are set up in TASS.web to manage student results and reports, and they flow through to Staff Kiosk so that Assessment Activities can be set up and Results and Comments can be entered.
This screen displays all of the ‘Reporting Periods’ currently open in Staff Kiosk and to which the logged-in user has been assigned.
From v01.060.06.200 onwards, all reporting periods are accessible in the Markbook and Enter Results and Comments programs. Results and Comments from closed Reporting Periods can be viewed in a modified ‘View Only’ mode.
You will have access to all periods assigned to you in TASS.webStudent Admin > Academic Reporting > Setup Information > Reporting User Maintenance, as per your assigned ‘User Access Level’.
The 'Reporting Year' filter allows you to select which periods appear on the screen. This filter is 'Sticky' and will remember your selections the next time you log in.
The ‘Status’ column displays the status of each period based on the Result Period IA Lock configuration in TASS.webStudent Admin > Academic Reporting > Setup Information > Assessment Setup on the ‘Result Periods’ tab.
A green 'Open for Marking' icon indicates that the IA Lock is set to 'Teacher Class Access (M)' or 'Teacher Class Access (Disable Progressive Assessment (D)'. This status allows results and comments to be entered.
A yellow 'Supervisor Access Only' icon signifies that the IA Lock is set to 'Restricted Supervisor Access (R)' or 'Unrestricted Supervisor Access (U)'. This status allows users with the specified supervisor access to enter results and comments, while other users may only view the screen in ‘View Only’ mode.
A blue ‘View Only' icon indicates that the IA Lock is set to 'Staff Kiosk View Only (Y)' or 'Staff Kiosk View, Student Cafe, Parent Lounge Only (N)'. This status signifies that data can no longer be entered for the period but can still be accessed in ‘View Only’ mode.

Troubleshooting Reporting Periods
‘Reporting Periods’ are also known as ‘Result Periods’ in TASS.web.
The ‘Reporting Period Description’ (also known as ‘Result Period Description’) can be edited in TASS.web Student Admin > Academic Reporting > Setup information > Assessment Setup on the ‘Result Periods' tab.
Reporting Periods are displayed to users when the following criteria are met:
The user has been assigned to the ‘Reporting Period’. TASS.webStudent Admin > Academic Reporting > Setup Information >Reporting User Maintenance> Assign Reporting Periods.
The user has been given the appropriate User Access Level. TASS.webStudent Admin > Academic Reporting > Setup Information > Reporting User Maintenance> Maintain User Access Levels.
The ‘Results Period’ is open, and the ‘IA Lock’ is set to ‘open' for their User Access Level in TASS.webStudent Admin > Academic Reporting > Setup Information > Assessment Setupon the ‘Result Periods' tab.
A single reporting period may only be made accessible to staff, or multiple reporting periods may be made accessible, either concurrently or separately.
For example:
Reports for Years 11 and 12 might need to be completed earlier than Years 9 and 10 reports. These would need to be set up as separate Reporting Periods and Teachers would need access to both.
Whilst operating in Semester 1, Teachers may also need access to the Semester 2 reporting period to assess activities and enter or calculate final results across both periods.
Single Reporting Period
Multiple Reporting Periods
Semester 1 Results Period is set up in TASS.web and opened in Staff Kiosk.
Teachers add and assess student Activities and enter or calculate final results.
Semester 1 academic reports are produced, the reporting period is archived, and the Semester 1 result period is closed.
Semester 2 Results period is then set up and managed in the same way.
Both Semesters 1 and 2 Results Periods are set up in TASS.web and both are open to Teachers in Staff Kiosk.
Teachers add and assess student Activities for the Semester 1 period. Semester 2 activities may also be added and assessed.
Final Results are entered or calculated for Semester 1.
Semester 1 academic reports are produced, the reporting period is archived, and the Semester 1 result period is closed.
Staff continue to work in the Semester 2 Reporting period.
Semester 2 academic reports are produced, and the reporting period is archived and closed.
