MER - General Tab
Overview
The Student Medical ‘General’ tab displays 'Emergency Contact' information and 'Medical User Defined Data' in a collapsible panel format.
Fields that require further explaination | ||||||||||||||||
Student Details | 'Student Details' fields are automatically filled in from the student record. Select the 'View' or 'Edit' links next to the 'Student Code' field to link to the nominated student's Student Record. From the Student Record, click the 'Cancel' button to be returned to the student's Medical Record. | |||||||||||||||
Swimming Details | Swimming Level | The Swimming Level field allows you to indicate the student's level of ability from the drop-down box or by entering a code. Example of levels are:

Medical User Defined Data | The 'Medical User Defined Data' collapsible panel contains 15 user-defined fields that can be utilised by your school to provide comprehensive management of a student's medical needs. The fields can be 'Y/N Flag' fields, 'Table Referenced' fields and 'Text' fields and are defined in Student Admin > Medical Records > Setup Information > Medical Setup. Examples of medical user-defined fields are Ambulance Subscription, Private Health Insurance, Medicare Number, Blood Group, Consent Form to allow distribution of medicines such as Ventolin®, Panandol®/Aspirin. | |||||||||||||||
Emergency Contact | This section of the screen will display the address(es) that has been defined as the 'Emer. Cont.' (Emergency Contacts) on the 'Addresses & Communication Rules' tab in program Student Admin > Student Records > Student Information > Students. It is possible to have more than one address block set up as the 'Emergency Contact' using Communication Rules. Where this occurs, a separate 'Emergency Contact' collapsible panel will be displayed for each address set with the 'Emergency Contact' rule.
