Why can’t a teacher access webBook? (wB)
The following may assist you in determining why a teacher cannot access webBook...
From v01.060.01.200, webBook is no longer accessible. The features previously offered by webBook are now available in Staff Kiosk Assessment > Markbook and Enter Results and Comments.
Does the teacher in question have a license to access the appropriate reporting period?
Navigate to TASS.web System Admin > Users > Reporting User Maintenance.
Select Assign Reporting Periods.
Select a Reporting Year and Period.
Click Next.
Review the assignment of teachers. If the teacher is listed as 'not Assigned to this reporting period', select their name and click the appropriate button to provide them access.
Does the teacher in question have the appropriate level of user access?
Navigate to TASS.web System Admin > Users > Reporting User Maintenance.
Select Maintain User Access Licences.
GO.
Review the assigned level of access given to the teacher. If they are listed as a 'webBook User' and do not have the correct level of access required, select their name and click one of the options to provide them with the appropriate level of user access.
Is the Reporting Period, which the teacher has a licence to access, open to webBook?
Navigate to TASS.web Student Admin > Academic Reporting > Setup Information > Assessment Setup.
Select the 'Result Periods' tab.
Locate the specific report from the table list.
Check the 'IA Lock' column to identify the current reporting cycle (or view the record). For example, if the teacher has only been given 'Teacher Class' access on one reporting period, and that IA (Internet Access) Lock is set to Restricted, they would not be able to get in.
If webBook is LDAP enabled, ensure there is a record created.
Navigate to TASS.web System Admin > Users > LDAP/SAML Maintenance.
Check the column 'LDAP enabled' for WB (webBook).
If enabled, click 'View' and check the configuration is correct on the LDAP tab.
Important!
To avoid confusion and input errors, only assign the correct teachers to each reporting period.
