Version 55 - Student Admin and Portal Video
Major Enhancements Introduced in v55, Released in Oct 2021.
This video provides an overview of the Student Administration and portal enhancements in TASS Version 55, with a strong focus on improving communication, parent engagement and day‑to‑day efficiency. It highlights expanded parent–teacher interview functionality, including flexible break scheduling, improved online meeting link management and new bulk communication tools, alongside enhanced email communications with support for banners, embedded images and personalised staff signatures. The video also introduces major updates in Parent Lounge, such as editable user‑defined (UD) areas that allow parents to securely update school information online and a new Items to Action dashboard that consolidates outstanding parent tasks. Additional improvements include faster search tools in TASS.web for high‑volume and time‑critical student entry screens, a redesigned Staff Kiosk homepage with new My Day View and Current Period panels for better daily organisation, and IT enhancements that enforce browser support and provide clearer record-locking messages, with tools to release locks when needed.
