TT - Print Master Timetable

Print Master Timetable Overview

Use this program to print your school's master timetable for a designated Year and Semester/Term.

It will display a single day's timetable per page with multiple lessons within each timetable 'cell'.

Information from the following timetable fields will be included:

  • Teacher Code.
  • Subject (abbreviation).
  • Subject 'Class' and 'Room Code'.

General Tab

To filter the data produced in the timetable, various 'Report Criteria' can be entered in the 'General' tab.

Fields that require further explanation

Timetable

If your school is operating with multiple timetables, use this field to select the correct timetable.

Timetables are setup using program Student Admin > Timetable > Setup Information > Timetable Setup on the 'Timetable Definitions' tab.

Year/Semester

These must match the 'Timetable' selected directly above.

Day

Use this field to print the master timetable for a particular Day.

Leave this blank to print the master timetable for all Days.

Days are setup using program Student Admin > Timetable > Setup Information > Timetable Setup on the 'Days' tab.

Campus

Use this field to print the master timetable for a particular Campus.

Leave this blank to print the master timetable for all Campuses.

The 'campus' field can only be used as a filter if you have set up your timetable to allow the uploading and operation of separate campus timetables.

Print Tab

Fields that require detailed information

Print Subject Alternate Description

Tick this checkbox to print the 'Short Description' of the timetabled subject on the report.

Leave this checkbox unticked to print the 'Abbreviation' of the timetabled subject on the report.

The 'Abbreviation' and 'Short Description' of a subject are defined against the subject record in program Student Admin > Student Records > Setup Information > Student Records Setup on the 'Subjects' tab.

Include Period Descriptions for each day

Tick this checkbox to include the 'Period' Descriptions defined against the selected Timetable.

Leave this checkbox unticked to display the 'Period' Code.

Timetable 'Periods' are defined in program Student Admin > Timetable > Setup Information > Timetable Setup on the 'Periods' tab.

Group Days by Year Group

Or

Group Days by Line/Block Code (YrGrp)

Where your school operates in a unitised or vertical timetable, this field will be displayed.

Tick this checkbox to organise the subjects printed in the master timetable by their respective Year Groups.

'Year Groups' are set up against the subject records if you are using a unitised timetable using programs:

  • Student Admin > Student Records > Setup Information > Student Records Setup on the 'Subjects' tab (individually).
  • Student Admin > Student Records > Setup Information > Subject Grid (in bulk).

Where your school operates in a non-unitised/horizontal timetable, this field will be displayed.

Tick this checkbox to organise the subjects printed in the master timetable by the value by the 'Line/Block Code'.

'Line/Block Codes' are set up against the subject records if you are using a unitised timetable using programs:

  • Student Admin > Student Records > Setup Information > Student Records Setup on the 'Subjects' tab (individually).
  • Student Admin > Student Records > Setup Information > Subject Grid (in bulk).
