STR - Parents Tab
Overview
The ‘Parents’ tab in the Student Record contains generic information relevant to the selected student's parents.
This tab can be accessed by navigating to TASS.web Student Admin > Student Records > Student Information > Students, searching for a student, then clicking ‘View’ or ‘Edit’.
This information on this tab is only available in view (read-only) mode.
Parents
By default, the ‘Parents’ section only displays details for the original (or Main) parent record of this student. The original (or Main) parent record for this student is the one that is set up in the 'Parent Code' field on the 'General' tab.
Both parents appear here for nuclear and simple split families, as there is only one parent record. Students with complex split families may have multiple parent records, but only the original or main parent record appears in this section.
Click ‘View’ or ‘Edit’ next to the Parent Code to go to the Parent Record.
Click the ‘Puzzle’ icon next to the Person No. to go to the Person Record.
The Parent information that appears here can be set up and maintained in TASS.web Student Admin > Parent Records > Parent Information > Parents on the 'General' tab.
Parent Relationships
This information is derived from the Community module, based on the Relationship Tags that are defined for each Person Record. These relationships can also be viewed and modified by navigating to the Person Record in TASS.web Community > People > Relationships.
The ‘Biological’ Relationship Tags can also be viewed and modified in TASS.web Student Admin > Student Records > Student Information > Students on the ‘Addresses & Comm. Rules’ tab.
