How do I change a student's medication schedule?
To keep a historical record of student medication schedules (days, times and dosage), follow these steps:
Go to TASS.web Student Admin > Medical Records > Student Information > Student Medical.
Search for the Student, and click on the ‘Medication’ tab.
Locate the medication that needs to change and click ‘Edit’ in the Action column.
Navigate to the Medication Schedule section, locate the old medication schedule and click the ‘Edit’ icon.
In the ‘End Date’ field, enter the last day the student will take the medication for the specified days, times and dosage, and click ‘Save’.
If the new medication schedule starts today, you must cancel the old medication schedule in the Student Medication Dispensing Grid. See Steps 8-10 for more information.
Click the ‘+ Add Schedule’ button and enter the new medication schedule details. In the ‘Start Date’ field, enter the first day that the student will take the medication for the specified days, times and dosage, and click ‘Save’.
Click the ‘Update’ button on the Medication Requirements screen.
If the new medication schedule starts tomorrow or on a future date, no further action is required.
If the new medication schedule starts from today, follow these steps:
Navigate to TASS.web Student Admin > Medical Records > Student Information > Dispense Student Medication.
Locate the old medication schedule and click the ‘Cancel’ icon in the Action column.
Select a Cancellation Reason that reflects the reason for the change. Enter a Note if required and click ‘Save’.
