EHR - UD Areas Tab
Overview
The 'UD Areas' tab on the Employee Record enables entry of data for up to nine user-defined HR (Human Resource) extended data areas.
This tab can be accessed by navigating to TASS.web Payroll HRM > Employee/HR > Employee Information > Employees.
User Security Permissions
Access to this tab requires the ‘---UD Areas tab’ security point in the ‘Employee/HR’ section of TASS.web System Admin > Users > User Maintenance or TASS.web System Admin > Users > Security Role Permissions.
About the UD Areas Tab
The 'UD Areas' tab on the Employee Record enables entry of data for up to nine user-defined HR (Human Resource) extended data areas. Each area includes 50 fields.
Examples of Employee HR data areas could be:
Performance Appraisal.
Development Stream.
Other Interests.
Medical Information.
Within each of these areas, there are:
10 x Single character flag fields (0-9, A-Z) which are often used as Yes / No fields.
10 x Table referenced fields (Picklist).
10 x Free form text fields to store information relating to the employees.
10 x Date Fields.
10 x Attachment Fields.
The fields displayed to you in this tab depend on the parameters set up by your school in TASS.web Payroll HRM > Employee/HR > Setup Information > Employee/HR Setup.
'View' and 'Edit' links are available on each UD area.
Fields can be set up as 'Triggers'.
