Do students get notified when a new PC Entry is added?

TASS does not currently send automatic notifications to students when a Pastoral Care Entry is made.

However, if the PC Entry is linked to a calendar event, such as a detention, it appears automatically in the student’s eDiary in Student Cafe, which parents can also view in Parent Lounge.

To notify students of a Pastoral Care entry, you can email them from Staff Kiosk > Pastoral Care > PC Entries (Lists/Emails) using filters and the ‘Generate Emails’ option.

Email templates for PC Entries (Lists/Emails) can be set up and maintained in TASS.web System Admin > Utilities > Email Settings, under the 'Email Templates' tab, by selecting 'Pastoral Care (PASCAR)' as the email category.

For calendar event-related emails (e.g., detention), select the appropriate ‘Outcomes’ filter linked to the event. Then add the keyword <<Calendar Event>> into the email to automatically insert the event's date and time linked to the student’s PC Entry.

Example

Hi <<Preferred Name>>,

Please be aware that a pastoral issue has been recorded for you on <<PC Entry Date>>.

The details of this incident are as follows:

DATE: <<PC Entry Date>> TIME: <<PC Entry Time>>

CONDUCT: <<Conduct>>

As a result of this pastoral issue, you are required to attend <<Outcome>> at the Library on <<Calendar Event>>.

If you cannot attend, please ask your parents to contact me at r.samuels@school.edu.au.
