BH - Book Valuation Report
Book Valuation Report Overview
This program produces a report with valuations of books as setup using program Student Admin > Book Hire > Book Information > Books.
It uses the 'Cost Amount' and 'Replacement Charge' fields on each book's record to calculate the valuations.
General Tab
Enter your selections in the fields on this tab to filter the data produced on the report.
The fields on this tab are similar to those described on page 'Books' .
The date picker 'Calendar' icon displayed in the 'Date Purchased' field allows the entry of a date range, e.g. All books purchased between 01/01/09 and 31/12/09.
Selected fields on the 'General' tab allow multiple selections. Holding down the 'Shift' key while clicking on your options permits a range selection, holding down the 'Ctrl' key enables selection of discrete (individual) criterion.
Print Tab
This 'Print' tab allows you to choose the output of the report. The 'Formatting Options' are Adobe PDF® Reader, Microsoft Excel® or Microsoft Word®.
Sorting options are also available on the left side of the screen.
The right side of the screen enables the selection of a range of formatting options. These options include 'Show Table Borders' and 'Alternate Row Colours'.
The 'Alternate Row Colours' option significantly improves the readability of the report.
All of these options are available in Adobe® Reader (Portable Document Format). Microsoft Excel® includes none of these options and Microsoft Word® only permits the 'Alternate Row Colours' and 'Table Borders' options.
The 'Include Books that are' section will allow you to build a valuation report for the book copies that match a certain status.
The default options are 'In Stock' and 'On Loan'. This will provide a valuation report of the book copies that are active. Selecting the option 'Lost' or 'Retired' will provide a report showing the value of the book that have been Lost or Retired.
