What is TASS Enterprise Mode?
TASS Enterprise mode is a configuration for organisations running multiple schools or companies within a single database instance.
This setup enables multiple schools to operate under a single TASS.web instance, with each school configured as a separate 'Company.' Each company will have its own setup parameters, users, and security permissions.
In Enterprise mode, one designated ‘Source Company’ maintains and controls settings that apply across all other companies in the group that are also enabled for Enterprise mode.
When operating in Enterprise mode, companies other than the Source Company cannot manage their own settings for areas such as enrolment stages, occupations, user-defined fields, religions, and parent fields. Instead, all these settings must be handled through the Source Company.
For example, occupations created and maintained in the Source Company will be updated in all other Enterprise mode-enabled companies.
Enterprise mode also enables centralised student and parent numbering across multiple schools, ensuring a single sequence regardless of which school a student is being entered into.
Additionally, it enables multi-company financial reporting, allowing for the production of a single Income Statement or Balance Sheet for multiple companies.
Schools interested in implementing TASS.web Enterprise mode should contact TASS Professional Services for more information.
To switch between companies, go to TASS.web and locate the ‘Company Key’ icon in the top toolbar beside your user name. Then use the ‘Change Company’ screen to select the Company/School that you wish to work in.
User access to each company can be designated in TASS.web System Admin > Users > User Maintenance.
Company information can be managed in TASS.web Finance > General Ledger > Setup Information > Company Information.
