Links

The Staff Kiosk ‘Links’ menu is where staff can view the links and documents that your school has defined for Staff Kiosk. It is also where administrators can create each school link and organise them into categories.

This menu can be accessed by navigating to the Staff Kiosk Toolbar, and selecting ‘Links'.

Click here for an Administrator Note.

User Security Permissions

Each School Link has its own security access point in the ‘Links’ section of TASS.web System Admin > Users > Portal Security Permissions for Staff Kiosk. Staff Kiosk users must have the relevant security point assigned to them in order to see the School Link.

Access to the setup-related programs within this menu is controlled by ‘School Links (Maintain)’ and ‘School Links Categories (Maintain)’ security points in the ‘Links’ section of TASS.web System Admin > Users > Portal Security Permissions for Staff Kiosk.

Contact your school’s TASS System Administrator for access.

School Links appear as menu items in the 'Links' menu, either as individual links or grouped under Link Categories. These links can be digital files, such as Word, PDF, or Excel documents, with PDF being recommended. They can also be hyperlinks to websites.

The School Links (Maintain) program lets administrators create and manage School Links (documents or URLs) and publish them to staff, parents, and students across TASS portal products and Orbit apps.

Your school can choose to display School Links to one or more of the following user groups:

  • Teachers and Employees (through the 'Links' button in Staff Kiosk and Staff Orbit).

  • Parents (through the 'School Links' button in Parent Lounge and Parent Orbit).

  • Students (through the 'School Links' menu option in Student Café).

The School Link Categories (Maintain) program is used to create and manage the categories under which School Links are grouped (for example, Policies, Newsletters, Maps).
