How do I apply a partial Purchase Order to an Invoice?
It is common to receive a partial shipment of items relating to a Purchase Order (PO).
In these circumstances, a single Purchase Order must be attached to multiple invoices, with each invoice accounting for the correct quantity of items received.
Create a new invoice in TASS.web Finance > Accounts Payable > Supplier Transactions > Invoices.
Select the Supplier, then enter/search the PO Number.
Enter the Invoice Number, Invoice Amount and other mandatory fields.
In the Purchase Order Grid, click in the ‘Inv Qty’ cell and enter the actual quantity received.
The ‘Inv Qty’ field accepts decimals. For example, 0.5 can represent half.
Click ‘Save’.
When further items from the Purchase Order are received, repeat this process.
Only the unshipped number of items will display in the 'Inv Qty' field.
The steps above do not alter the original Purchase Order.
To alter the original Purchase Order, click in the ‘Edit’ action link at the end of each row in the grid. Alternatively, edit via TASS.web Finance > Purchasing > Orders > Purchase Orders.
