Credit Search Screen
The search screen provides the facility to search for existing credits using various search fields.
Click the 'GO' button (or press 'Enter') to execute the search and display the 'Credit List' screen with the matching records.
Credit List Screen
This list screen displays the credits matching your search criteria, initially sorted by credit date.
The records on this screen can be re-sorted by clicking on the heading links provided.
You can print this list by clicking the 'Print' icon in the toolbar to display the 'Credit Listing'. This screen allows you to nominate the sort order of your output. You can also elect to produce the output as a PDF document, Excel® file or Word® document. Click on 'Run' to create the file.
Click on the 'View' or 'Edit' Action link to access a credit record. Credits that have been posted to General Ledger are not able to be edited.
Click on the 'Apply' Action link to apply a credit that has not yet been applied or to 'unapply' (cancel) a credit that has been previously applied to an incorrect invoice.
The 'Credit Apply' screen will display all invoices for this customer that have an unapplied amount.
Credits Apply Screen
If you have entered a credit using the 'Invoice/Credit – Add Screen' with the 'Auto Apply' checkbox ticked then the program will automatically apply the credit to the oldest invoice(s)
To manually apply a credit click on the 'Applied Amount' field against the appropriate invoice in the application grid that this credit is to be applied to.
You can use the 'Enter' key to apply the full amount or key in the amount to apply against the invoice. Repeat this process until the credit is fully applied. (The 'Applied to Invoices' amount is displayed at the top of the screen.)
Click the 'Save' button to accept the credit applications or the 'Cancel' button to return to the previous screen without committing the credit application to the TASS.web database. If you choose 'Cancel' this credit will be removed (or 'unapplied') and can be applied later using this same program.
Use the 'Unapplied Credits Only' on the 'Credits' (search) screen to quickly identify all credits that have not been applied in the database.
