Can I hide deceased parent details on Parent Lounge?
After marking a parent as deceased, their details remain in the Parent Details section of Parent Lounge. If the other parent requests the removal of the deceased parent from Parent Lounge, you can ‘Remove’ the deceased person record from the parent record in TASS.web Student Admin > Parent Records > Parent Information > Parents on the ‘General’ tab.
Important!
Do not remove the deceased parent record for all cases, as it also deletes critical 'deceased' status information from the Student Record. Perform this only on a case-by-case basis, such as when the other parent requests it.
After removing the deceased parent from the parent record, your school must decide how to handle the recordkeeping of this information. For example, how will staff know that the student’s parent is deceased? Contact TASS Customer Care for suggestions or support.
When a person is removed by the 'remove tool', relationship links remain on the deceased person’s record in the Community module.
You should also update any Address Blocks to remove references to the deceased person, for example, by adjusting the salutation to reflect only the remaining parent on the default and any other relevant address blocks.
