Forms are created within TASS.web and can be campus specific which means the form will only appear where parents have children in the mapped campus. Enhancements have been made in v58.5.200 to Parent Records > Setup Information > Parent Lounge Setup to include a new tab, Contact Us, which allows you to create multiple forms. |
Pastoral Care History & Acknowledgement | Pastoral Care records that have been made available for Parent Lounge are now available from the homepage with a count for the amount of records that require the parent to acknowledge. The history includes the Conduct, Type, Outcome, Acknowledgement details and comment. Filtering includes a date range and Type. Records are highlighted with an option to tick where the parent is required to acknowledge the record. |
Verify Medical Details | Where the Medical Setup verification date has been set and the parents have not yet verified, a count will appear in the tile. The homepage tile loads the Medical Details screen and when toggling between students, a Verify Details button will appear. This screen shows the last medical details update date and the ability to drill down into each medical detail e.g. Conditions, Immunisation and submit the verification to the school. This updates the student's 'Last Verification Date'. |
Homepage Banner & Slider | Banners and image sliders are now available within the app homepage. These are Banner: the banner image takes up the entire top part of the screen i.e. over the time/battery. A 'top text colour' is also included which allows you to apply a different colour for the hamburger menu, school name and notifications icon for the homepage where the banner does not suit black. Image Slider: the slider caters for transparent images and appears below the school name. The user can manually slide between the images and has an indicator for what image they're on. The hierarchy is as follows:
Images are added within TASS.web and Image Sliders include a Sort Order. Enhancements have been made in v58.5.200 to System Admin > Utilities > Product UI Maintenance: Images tab to include a new Parent Orbit product. |
Email Class Teachers | A new Email Class Teachers tile allows the parent to communicate with their student's class teachers. This screen includes a list of student subject classes with an email icon, that opens the default mail client on the users device. The user can select to email based on:

Notifications Expansion | With the notification expansion, orbit is now able to receive enhanced notifications which includes:
This is combined with a new drill down screen within the notification that displays this information. Plus, students are now tagged against with their full name. Enhancements have been made in v58.5.200 to Staff Kiosk > Teacher > Notifications to include a 'Message Details' section in addition to the 'Message Text' (which appears in the push notification). |
Extra Curricular Sign-Up | A new Extra Curricular Sign-up tile has been added, which will display a count of the number of available sign ups. Upon tapping on the tile, it will direct the user to the new Extra Curricular Sign-up deep-link screen in Parent Lounge. This screen provides the parent the ability to:
