How to View Cohort Rankings in Markbook Activity Assessment

The ability to generate rankings in Markbook will be available from v01.060.11.200 onwards. Refer to the TASS Release Notes for more information.
This article explains how to enable cohort rankings for Activity Total Score and Overall Subject Grades in Staff Kiosk Assessment > Markbook on the ‘Activity Assessment’ screen and in Staff Kiosk Assessment > Enter Results and Comments on the ‘Activity Assessment’ screen.

1 | TASS.web Student Admin > Academic Reporting > Setup Information > Assessment Setup on the ‘Result Periods' tab. | On the ‘Result Periods' tab, find the Result Period for which you want to enable cohort rankings, then select ‘Edit’ in the Action column. To activate rankings for Activity Total Scores across all year levels and subjects in the Result Period, select the 'Activity Total Score Rankings in Markbook' checkbox. To activate rankings for Overall Subject Grades (OSG), select the 'Overall Subject Grade Rankings in Markbook' checkbox. You can select the OSG Objectives enabled for Rankings in Step 2. | 🔲 |
2 | TASS.web Student Admin > Academic Reporting > Setup Information > Assessment Setup on the ‘Result Formats' tab. | If you enabled Overall Subject Grades rankings in Step 1, go to the ‘Result Formats' tab. Find the Result Format for which you want to enable rankings, then select ‘Edit’ in the Action column. In the Objectives Grid, set the 'Rankings Calc' column to 'Y' for the objectives you want to rank in Markbook Activity Assessment, then click 'Save and Validate.' Alternatively, select ‘Edit’ in the Action column next to the relevant OSG Objective, select the ‘Calculate and display Rankings for this Overall Subject Grade' checkbox, and click 'Save’. To activate ranks for multiple result formats, go to the ‘Result Formats' tab. Select the checkboxes at the end of each row, then click ‘Bulk Actions’ > ‘Edit Objectives’. The Edit Objectives grid will display the ‘Rankings Calc’ column for the selected result formats, allowing you to set the Objective values to ‘Y' to activate rankings. Click 'Save and Validate’ when complete. | 🔲 |
3 | Staff Kiosk Assessment > Markbook on the ‘Activity Assessment’ screen. | Open Markbook, open the Reporting Period (Result Period) for which you activated rankings in Step 1, and open the ‘Activity Assessment’ screen. If you activated Activity Total Score Rankings in Step 1, a ‘Rank' column will appear next to the 'ATS’ column for all activities with the 'Calculate Activity Total Score?' checkbox enabled. If you activated Overall Subject Grade Rankings, a 'Rank' column will appear next to the Objective column in the Overall Subject Grades section. After entering all student data and calculating results, click the ‘Calculate Analytics’ button to populate the ‘Rank’ columns. | 🔲 |
